Exciting insights at the Future Day
What exactly do mum and dad do at work all day? 29 fifth to seventh graders were able to find out for themselves at the technology company Baumer. On National Future Day 2022, Baumer once again opened its doors to inquisitive pupils at its headquarters in Frauenfeld (Switzerland) and provided exciting insights into the day-to-day work of the sensor specialists. For 12-year-old Evan, one thing is certain: "I definitely want to do an apprenticeship as an electronics technician at Baumer." The seventh-grader visited his uncle Andreas, who coordinates several sales companies and sensor solutions for e-mobility as Market Manager. Evan already demonstrated his talent at the soldering iron when he soldered small electronic components without errors on the very first try.?
Fabio also visited Baumer at the Future Day to find out about his father's diverse tasks on site. After the factory tour, the 11-year-old had his dad Franck, Product Manager for Pressure Sensors, explain to him what is important in his work and how Baumer develops sensors that measure particularly precisely. Fabio was thrilled: "It was a special experience to see how my dad helps to improve the production processes of customers. I learned things that you don't usually get to see at school."
